MSP Billing on Community Day

MSP coverage is $23 per visit for 10 visits a year paid by the provincial government. You can call 1 800 663 7100 or check the MSP website if you think you should be eligible for this.

  • On Community Days we will bill MSP for their portion of the visit unless you tell us you want to save it for another visit.
  • Bring a donation for the balance of your visit or whatever you can.  If you cannot donate, come anyway.

If you do not have any MSP coverage you can still participate in Community Day.  Just bring whatever donation you can

Extended Health Billing on Community Day?

If you have extended health (private health insurance) allowance – on Community Day you can either:

1) Not use it on Community Day at all and just bring a food bank donation – save your extended health allowance for another time

2) Use it and if your ext health does not cover all of the visit bring a donation for the balance of the visit or whatever you can

3) Use it if it pays the full value of the visit.  You can opt out of participating in Community Day but you can still book on Community Day

Please note that on Community Day appointments are more “Express Visits” than our normal visit lengths
